~~~~Welcome!~~~~
Hey there and welcome to the obligatory ReadMe.  Thanks for taking time to read this.  In an effort to make this ReadMe fun to read, I will try and be as interesting as possible.
Ooga Booga!  @_@
~~~~A little about the ol' self!~~~~

I have been around in the simfile community for awhile, you could say. Here is a brief history of my simfile contest career:

I began by entering TournaMix 5 with an old file of mine that hadn't been released yet, called My Oh My by Aqua. I wanted everyone to see my awesome challenge steps, so I lowered them to heavy, while lowering my heavy to standard. Big mistake. I didn't take into consideration that my steps weren't too pad friendly, certainly not too suited for heavy, and while I did make the semifinals, I finished 36th overall out of the 75 that advanced. Not too bad for a first try, though.

Next came DDROSC3, in which I submitted Grand Prix by Mega NRG Man from Initial D. The song was a little too generic, finishing fourth in it's bracket, just missing the cutoff of the top three, therefore missing the cut for the finals.

Then, TM5: Addition came around, and I was invited by Sivus to submit a file. I recieved this privledge because he loved my TM5 megamix. =D Honored by this invitation, I made sure the file was my best yet: J219 by Cranky. This was by far my favorite file, complete with solid heavy and challenge steps and DDR style videos. It recoeved an excellent response, though this was not a competitive pack.

The next two competitions happened very close to eachother: DDROSC3+, and TM5+ (Re-TM). I submitted Triforce Majeure Disco Dan for DDROSC3+, which finished 6th out of 12, due to poor polishing (I tried to do my own graphics, big mistake!), and Affirmation by Savage Garden for Re-TM. I originally wanted to do a few other files, but Sivus convenced me to take the challenge. I was pleased with the way it came out; it's been a favorite song of mine for a long time. This pack was also non-competitive.

Lastly, I entered DDRExtreme's TV and Movie Theme Mix with Kesenai Tsumi by Nana Kitade, which is the ending theme for the first season of Full Metal Alchemist. The public for some reason didn't take a liking to it, saying the steps were boring, but the judges loved it and propelled it to 4th place.

And now, we enter TournaMix 6 (Final), and I hope this is my best file yet!

In addition to competitions, I also have all of my files compiled in a mix called The Zound of Music, hosted on my website: http://www.planetzounder.com/DWI/ . I have all types of songs made into simfiles, so I think there is something for everybody. You can also find all of the files previously mentioned on this site. You can also find most of my files on bemanistyle.com, just search for Zounder.

~~~~We'll make Heaven a place on Earth!~~~~
So lately I haven't been making too many simfiles, but when I heard TournaMix was starting up again, I had to sift through my folder of unfinished files to find something worthy, and I think I hit the jackpot.  I went all out on this file, which features DDR style video clips, lyrics, a beginner single stepchart, and doubles and solo charts for light, standard, and heavy, which totals 10 stepcharts!
Heaven is a Place on Earth (Speedo Mix) is performed by Wildside, who is featured in Dance Dance Revolution in the form of My Sweet Darlin' and Irresistiblement.  It is from the album "2 Become 1."  The song itself is very upbeat and danceable, as are most Wildside songs.  It's a high energy, positive, good feeling song about finally finding love and happiness, and feeling like Heaven has finally been found on Earth.  The mood of the song is. euphoric, if you will.  Making the final cut of the mp3 took me awhile, but I think I nailed it.
When choosing the video clips, I kept a few things in mind.  The song is about finding Heavn on Earth, so I chose many clips of the sun, the sea, clouds, snow, lights, and other places reminiscent of paradise.  Also, I threw in the highway clip that is featured in Irristiblement, which is another Wildside song, so I felt it appropriate to have them share some clips.  The highway also gives the sense of heading toward your destination. so it fits the theme.  Overall, I feel the video clips add to the snese of paradise within the song wonderfully.
Note:  DWI users will not be able to view the video clips.
As for the graphics, Bluefire is my hero!  I was afriad I'd have to make my own, and I'm not exactly handy with any kind of photoshop program.  Bluefire created these for me, and they go right along with the theme the same way the video clips do.  Also, thanks to Titlin for sending me the Wildside logo! ~~~~Dance, Dance, Dance!~~~~
Alright, now for the stepcharts!
~~~~Singles~~~~

Beginner (2 feet): Just your normal set of beginner steps... no corner jumps or freezes.

Note: Beginner steps are only playable in Stepmania, as DWI does not support it.

Light (4 feet): Since the song is fast, I laid off the jumps a bit, and focused on adding a few freezes. I debated for a long while on the topic of 8th notes. I thought the song was too fast for too many 8ths to be thrown in, but the chorus just felt that there had to be 8ths falling on the upbeat of the second beat of the 1st 3rd 5th and 7th measures, as opposed to just putting a 4th note on the third beat. It ups the difficulty, but I think it comes out more natural in the end. There are also freestyle possibilities throughout the chart. Overall, a solid, fun to play light chart.

Standard (6 feet): I always enjoy making standard charts. You don't really have to worry about difficulty; it can range from 4 feet to 7 or 8 feet and it would still be a plausible chart. It gives me room to do whatever I couldn't do in the heavy chart, provided it isn't too difficult. Therefore, what you see in this chart is simplified beats suitible for it's difficulty that flow right with the song.

Heavy (9 feet): Ah, yes. This is the chart that everyone will be playing. I put effort into every stepchart in this simfile, but this one involved the most tinkering and re-working by far. I believe everyone will find something to enjoy in this chart. An excellent blend of stream, jumps, freezes, that flow right into the beat of the music. I tried to do some fun things throughout the song, for example, a LDRDL pattern when the lyrics say "wave of love", thus simulating a wave. The steps follow a blend of vocals, drumbeats, and synth pattenrs throughout the song, so they don't get boring. The song doesn't really lend itself to chaos steps, but there is one measure that features gallops. Overall, I love this chart, and I hope you will too.

Side note:  "A challenging decision"

-I usually include challenge steps in most of my files to have some diversity. But after trying all kinds of styles of patterns, I could not find any kind of challenge chart that seemed to fit naturally with the song. As much as I wanted to go the extra mile and include a challenge chart, it just didn't seem to flow. However, with 10 stepcharts, I think this file is quite diverse, and everyone will find something they enjoy.

~~~~Doubles~~~~
Light (4 feet):  Follows a pattern Very similar the singles chart, except with a few less freezes and bit less stream.
Standard (6 feet):  Similar pattern to the single chart once again, but across two pads, obviously.
Heavy (9 feet):  A rather difficult 9 footer that involves lots of moving, but definitely fun to play.
~~~~Solo~~~~

Disclaimer: This is my first set of solo steps ever.

Light (5 feet): A little more difficult than the rest of the light charts to shake things up a bit. Much more stream and a little more air than the other light sets.

Standard (6 feet): Actually ended up a little bit easier than the other standard charts.

Heavy (9 feet): It was pretty fun making this chart. I had never experimented with solo steps before this, so it was cool learning what kind of patterns I could do.
